above is a point and figure chart of rio tinto.i shall post some more charts  for ftse 100 and ftse 250.all markets work in the same way.property/stocks etc.all work on support and resistance,greed and fear.you can see all this in a chart of the price.however,with propert it is more diificult to chart the price.whereas with a stock/bond,option or future.the exchange gives out the prices at each tick

for all you property investors.we can take a look at war loan.3.5% gilt edge.it is easy to use this to assess how the market veiws interest rates.with gilts ,downward price movement means a rise in interest rates.the same can be done with euro rates using bund futures,also the us using t-bill futures contracts

Spot on.....

I do dabble in the stock market more and more now.  The only reason I feel comfortable is that I am dealing with mining stocks and I used to work in the industry a few years ago.  I can read the technical exploration/production details and this combined with the demand from China/India pushing prices upwards means it is not too difficult to make some money in this area.

I wouldn't put my money in any other areas of the stock market as I wouldn't understand them enough.
